![]() This has worked every time I had to try it not be a good idea to state which browser you used that did work? ![]() ![]() One thing I did out of frustration was, When I got the ‘need to verify’ thing on trying to log in, I simply clicked the ‘Back’ button on my browser then went to eBay and ‘my eBay’ again and found that I could just log in as normal. Once in my account, I have changed / edited my phone details to my mobile number, This works for the next time I need the code, But after that, the displayed number to receive a txt reverts to my land line number and I am back to square one. My problem is Many many moons ago when registering on eBay, it was my land line that I gave as a telephone point of contact, I know that I can receive txt on my landline and it is read out to me, But my pc is upstairs and my landline downstairs, it is a pain running down stairs in time to catch the phone ring with my txt from eBay, even more of a pain trying to remember or write down the code read out in that robotic voice. I frequently get the ‘need to verify’ thing when trying to log in, but it seems random what I am offered, Sometimes I get the choice of txt or email, other times its just txt. I only use my pc for eBay and only use the chrome browser. ![]() I have been having similar problems of late. Hope this may be of help to someone else - try changing browsers if it's a 'puter access problem : ) x What a ridiculous headspace to be in when you just want to work like normal in your own Ebay Shop, eh? And no, I haven't dared to sign out and sign in multiple times to see if it continues to work on this browser. The verification is still a pain in the posterior but at least I have access again to do businessy stuff I can't do on the app. Today, a trusted relative was able to verify by GET EMAIL and sign in for me on their computer when I received the code in an email and told them! The difference? They use a different browser than I normally do! So I have tried a different browser on my computer and woohoo, I got the GET EMAIL verification option! So now I'm able to access my account on my computer at last! Yaaay! But after I saw how many people are suffering the same problems with verification on the Community Boards (which I accessed using the app), I now know this is a known problem and not unusual at all. ![]() Hence, no access to my account on my computer.Įbay Customer Services told me it was "unusual" and they had reported a technical problem for me but couldn't do anything about it. But the biggest problem for me was in trying to sign in on the computer, there was only the option to GET TEXT and the option to GET EMAIL was missing. I could sign in on the phone app by selecting GET EMAIL but whenever I tried to get the verification code with GET TEXT, no text ever arrived - and still doesn't. Now that Ebay are demanding verification almost every time I try to log in on my computer, I couldn't for days. ![]()
